i got a coat from my mom this christmas.
and one of my favorite parts is the lining. seriously, i'm a sucker for a cute lining {even if it is the most unimportant part of clothing...}
i was pretty excited about it. so as soon as we got home i made myself this matching cowl. it knit up in no time, considering i used super bulky yarn.
and then i made some matching mittens. i split the yarn to make them, so there are lots of loose fibers, which makes them extra fuzzy. in fact, the look a little ragged, so i like to call them my oscar the grouch mittens.
i'm staying warm and toasty, and i love my new coat even more now!
CUTE! i love the look of that cowl with it!! impressive that you knit that up in no time -- i'm jealous of your skillz
ReplyDeleteOh, Angie! That coat is SO supremely adorable (I wonder if I can get one without the hood) -- and the cowl you made for it is perfection! I'm glad you have something to keep you warm. Have you been getting much snow there?
ReplyDeletethe hood is detachable :)

ReplyDeleteI Love the Coat too! Your mom has excellant taste. I love that you created a beautiful crowl the same color as the lining.
ReplyDeleteI love the coat! The inside lining is like a secret only you know about until someone sees it. It goes really well with the mittens and cowl. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this combination! the cowl and mittens are so pretty and they go perfectly with the coat.
