this project started out as something completely different {as most crafty projects do} but i like how it turned out.
detail shots:
they're little wooden tiles {3 3/4'' X 3 3/4''} that were originally covered by bright flowery designs. cute, but not my style.
so i turned them into little mini collages. covered them with a healthy dose of modge podge.
and then added all kinds of other buttons and extras.
i lined them up vertically and hung them next to the bedroom door frame.
and don't forget to sign up for the may day basket exchange! {one more week to sign up!}

much more my style.
after they were done i had to figure out how to mount them. i decided to chop up some wine corks that i had and glued one on top and bottom. weird, but it totally works! the nail sticks into the top cork and they stand 1/2" off the wall.

Very creative. I love the old school bike on the first.
ReplyDeleteI just signed up for the basket exchange too.
Those are adorable, my dear! LOVE!
ReplyDeletesuper cool and totally original! The idea to use corks for hanging--very clever. I like the idea that there is space between the wall and the tile for added depth.
ReplyDeleteYour collages look great!

oh great. now matt's going to be like, "you know those tiles in angie's bedroom? well, you should make those AND ones like her bathroom." thanks, friend...
ReplyDelete(ha... i love these so much! i can't figure out if the second one is my favorite, or the 3rd with trees. probably the trees... because, well, you know me!)
Oh gosh, those are totally darling!
ReplyDeleteAngie, you are so wonderfully talented. I just want to visit and take lessons from you -- I'd love to be crafty, but I don't know how.
