airing my dirty laundry

this is it. all our dirty laundry.

we have a lot of clothes. we don't buy them a lot, but we keep them forever so we've accumulated quite a pile. plus we have tons of underwear and socks, so we only have to do it once a month or so.

and while we're at it, i might as just tell you that all these clothes have been sitting there since yesterday. that's right, we're literally living in our dirty clothes until tomorrow night, cause i'm not doing them tonight either!

 growing up i never understood why laundry was such a big deal, but right now i would give anything to go back to 5th grade and leave all these laundry woes behind.
{thanks mom for protecting me from this horror for so long!}

  1. I can't think of anything I like better than honesty... horrors and all. I remember a time when we lived in a pile of laundry just like that (before kids, or when they were babies). Of course, my excuse was that we had to go to the laundry-mat and thus the piles grew as we saved our quarters. The olden days... I don't miss those! :)

  4. Wow, it's great to have so many clothes that you don't have to do laundry very often! Laundry is a dreaded chore. My husband thinks we have to "get it all done." But it's never truly "done." It just keeps cycling. So I just throw it in my sorting bins to queue. I once read a book on home organization and she recommended always having days where you don't do laundry. I like that....the problem is I try to make it every day!

  5. OH MAN. I woke up, looked at my own incredibly large laundry pile and said the same thing - NOT TODAY!!

  6. I hate the laundry as well but we end up doing it about once a week because that is when I usually run out of clean socks! I just can't wear those twice!

  7. So good to know we aren't the only ones who are literally in danger of being buried by our laundry! I even hate when it's all clean, cause then I have to find room to put it all away. YUK

  9. I think for about 8 years straight now my New Years resolution has been to fold the laundry within three days of washing it. Maybe someday it'll be a higher priority, but not for now. :)

  11. This is funny. I wash every day and then just put the clean clothes back on. My granddaughters are always puzzled why there is a lot of clothes hanging my closet..."you wear the same thing over and over again" they tell me. Yea? And?
